An exceptional group of four original 'Little Globe' armchairs designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort in the 1960s. Masterpieces of Space Age design featuring low-slung, organic upholstery on rotating cast-aluminium bases, presented in their original lemon-green textured fabric.
Exemplifying the visionary spirit of 1960s Space Age design, these 'Little Globe' armchairs were created by renowned French designer Pierre Paulin and produced by the esteemed Dutch manufacturer Artifort. Defined by their welcoming, organic silhouettes and low profiles, these chairs combine sculptural form with exceptional seating comfort. Each piece rests on a smooth-swivelling cast-aluminium pedestal base, bearing the manufacturer's mark. The armchairs retain their original lemon-green textured upholstery, displaying a gentle, authentic patina acquired over decades. Offered as a rare collection of four matching chairs, available individually, they represent a quintessential milestone in mid-century European design history.
