An exceptional and scarce collector's piece, this 'Tok' lounge armchair with accompanying footstool was designed by renowned Japanese designer Toshiyuki Kita and produced by Varier. A true masterpiece of ergonomic design, it marries sculptural molded plywood with inviting upholstered forms. The sculptural shell is finished in a crisp white lacquer, perfectly contrasting with the original deep black fabric upholstery of the seat, backrest, and distinctive floating headrest. Supported by a robust, brushed metal star base, the chair offers a swivel function and adjustable recline for ultimate comfort. Preserved in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear, this set makes a striking addition to contemporary, minimalist, or mid-century modern interiors.
