Price on request
A rare pair of 'Samba' dining chairs designed by Giorgio Saporiti for Il Loft in 1999. Featuring geometric wooden bases, upholstered suede seats, and striking, asymmetric backrests that form a cohesive design duo.
An exceptionally expressive pair of Italian postmodern dining chairs, the 'Samba' model was designed by Giorgio Saporiti and produced by Il Loft in 1999. Demonstrating the adventurous spirit of late-90s Italian design, these pieces pair substantial geometric wooden frames with raised suede-upholstered seats and distinctive, asymmetric backrests. The differing backrest silhouettes are designed to complement one another, creating an intentional interplay when displayed as a pair. This specific pair originates directly from the private collection of Italy's Museo della Sedia (Chair Museum), carrying esteemed provenance and featuring in its documented exhibits. Retaining the original Il Loft maker's mark on the underside, they represent an exciting acquisition for collectors of late 20th-century Italian design. Maintained in good vintage condition consistent with age.
