An exceptional original 1980s coffee table base set for the iconic 'Valentino' model by Cattelan Italia, designed by Emanuele Zenere. Comprising a Verde Alpi green marble pier and a burl wood pyramid, offered without glass for bespoke customisation.
An exceptional collector's find from the late 1980s, this listing comprises the original supporting bases for the iconic 'Valentino' coffee table, designed by Emanuele Zenere for the renowned Italian manufacturer Cattelan Italia. Featuring a striking postmodern juxtaposition of geometry and luxurious materials, the set includes a solid Verde Alpi green marble rectangular pillar—bearing the brand's original inset metal medallion—paired with a sculptural pyramid veneered in rich, highly figured burl wood. Please note that this offering includes the two structural bases only, presented without the glass top. This provides a unique opportunity to commission a tempered glass top (typically 10–12 mm) tailored precisely to your interior proportions—whether echoing the original sweeping silhouette or configured in a classic rectangle or oval. Both bases are preserved in excellent vintage condition with sound structural integrity and immaculate surfaces.
