Price on request
Rare and striking Hungarian Space Age floor lamp, model 'Percz B', featuring a sculptural segmented aluminum stem and a large frosted milk glass spherical shade. Produced in Hungary and distributed via Iparművészeti Vállalat.
An exceptional and scarce example of 1970s Eastern European design, this 'Percz B' floor lamp embodies the visionary aesthetic of the Space Age and Mid-Century Modern movements. The fixture is anchored by a distinctive, rhythmically profiled aluminum stem that creates a strong vertical column, topped with a luminous spherical shade in frosted milk glass. Originally manufactured in Hungary and retailed through the state enterprise for applied arts, Iparművészeti Vállalat, this piece retains its original factory markings. It functions effortlessly both as a commanding sculptural art object and as a source of warm, diffused ambient illumination. Retaining its original wiring and inline switch, the lamp is in very good vintage condition with minor traces of age appropriate to its history. A standout addition to a contemporary minimal interior, eclectic living space, or specialized collection of 1960s–1970s European lighting.
