Carlo Nason / Mazzega

Price on request

Rare vintage Birillo floor lamp designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in Murano, Italy, during the 1970s. Crafted from hand-blown Murano glass with distinct speckle decoration and a polished chrome central section, featuring independent dual illumination.

An exceptional example of 1970s Italian design, the Birillo floor lamp was designed by Carlo Nason and produced by the esteemed glassworks Mazzega on the island of Murano. This striking collector's piece features a sculptural silhouette composed of hand-blown Murano glass elements, anchored by a white base with a distinctive speckled pattern. The lamp is cleverly constructed with two independent lighting sections: a smooth upper bulb-shaped diffuser and the richly textured lower glass body. Linked by a polished chrome central collar detailed with decorative hardware, the fixture offers versatile illumination scenarios via a double foot switch. A quintessential embodiment of the Space Age aesthetic, it serves as a commanding focal point for sophisticated interiors.
