An exceptional pair of sculptural table lamps by La Murrina, handcrafted in Italy during the 1970s. Featuring substantial flame-formed Murano glass shades with gold leaf inclusions mounted on brass bases.
An exquisite pair of vintage table lamps designed and produced by La Murrina in Murano, Italy, during the 1970s. These sculptural pieces showcase heavy, freeform handcrafted glass shades shaped in organic leaf or flame silhouettes, incorporating shimmering inclusions of gold leaf within the thick, transparent glass. The shades rest securely on sculptural brass bases with elegant curved supports. When illuminated, the heavily textured glass refracts the light brilliantly, casting a warm, ambient glow across the room. Both shades bear the engraved La Murrina signature alongside the distinctive 'M' trademark embedded directly into the glass. In very good vintage condition, with the glass remaining pristine and free of cracks or chips. The brass elements display a charming, authentic age-related patina, and the electrical systems are fully operational. A striking and highly collectible pair of Italian design icons that effortlessly complement mid-century modern, Hollywood Regency, and sophisticated contemporary interiors.
