Rare 1970s "Pozzi Vasen" model 563/2 architectural crystal vase designed by Ambrogio Pozzi for Riedel. Crafted in heavy lead crystal with a striking sculptural silhouette and textured interior.
An exceptional and rare collector's piece, this vase belongs to the historic "Pozzi Vasen" series designed by renowned Italian designer Ambrogio Pozzi (1931–2012) and produced by Austrian crystal manufacturer Riedel (Tiroler Glashütte) in the early 1970s. Modelled as article 563/2, it exemplifies Pozzi's mastery of modernist form and geometric clarity. Crafted from heavy, high-lead crystal featuring a 24% PbO content, the vase doubles as an arresting standalone interior sculpture. Its architectural silhouette showcases a textured internal surface that plays dramatically with light and refraction. Preserved in good vintage condition with minor signs of age-appropriate handling, it retains the authentic Riedel maker's mark on the glass.
